Hey guys, Jordan here. Today we had the first day of our camp and it was great but what I really want to talk about is what happened before and after the classes. This morning not as many people showed up to the classes as we thought would so we decided that we would bless the Roma people there by giving the children food, water and candy. While doing this the children’s parents came out and started watching what we were doing and told us how grateful they were that someone cared for them enough to bless them. This really opened my eyes and showed me just how spoiled we as Americans are. We complain about being hungry when there is a pantry full of food and the people here don’t even have a decent home to live in. I am so thankful for everything that I have and I want to bless these people with the gifts that I have been given to better their lives.
After the day was over we had games and dancing with the kids and adults that are helping us. I feel like I got an impression of the culture that the Albanians have here and I love how affectionate they are towards each other. Everyone here is like a big family and they all love and respect each other. I want to bring the affection that I am -seeing here back to the states with me. God bless you all!! J
